On a summer day, 247 years ago, a group of men met to sign a document that forever changed the course of history. Not sure about now, but decades ago, it was the subject of many school classrooms across the nation. Over time, this country has undergone many changes. Some good, some not so good. However, I still believe that we ive in a country that offers so many positive things to the people who live here. I ask that every one of you reflects on this document and what it means. Thank you.
And as far as I know, the old story of King George of England writing in his diary on 07/04/1776 the statement of "Nothing of significance happened today," is just an urban myth.
