Changing chapters

flightorfight 🚫

I'm reading a multi chapter book but today every time I click to go to the next chapter it takes me to the midpoint of the next chapter instead of the beginning.

Just a guess, but my thoughts (as a site user) on what might be happening...

If you're a basic member, then the [click for more] prompt is at the 'mid point' of a chapter. If you've read a chapter before but not been quite scrolled to the end when clicking the next chapter link (either not quite reaching the end, or backing up a line or so), Lazeez's helpful 'scroll to where you were last time' feature will drop you at the [click for more] prompt (actually just past that) next time you visit that chapter, if you're a basic member. It's quite possible that an unintended code change side effect (bug) is scrolling you to that point, even if you're a premier member.

Of course, it's also possible that you've quit each chapter at the mid-point and you are just seeing correct behaviour - this could happen if you previously paged through the chapters as a basic member clicking on the next chapter links without doing the [click for more], and are now (re)reading it as a premier member. If you revisit a chapter you've just recently read, does it still scroll to the mid point? Of course, it would be nice if the site would note if you (as a basic member) were scrolled to beyond the [click for more] anti-bot check and suppress it, after all, you clicked it last time...

@madnige

I've been on here for over 20 years. Today is the first time this has ever happened so I don't think it is user error.
